Tables in Wonderland pricing increase

Disney's popular dining discount program, Tables in Wonderland, has had a pricing increase.  Pricing has increased from $100 for FL Residents and $75 for passholders and DVC members, to $125 for FL Residents and $100 for Passholders and DVC members.

If you are not familiar with the Tables in Wonderland program, it is a membership for discounted dining at select Walt Disney World restaurants.  Members (and their dining party, up to 10 guests total per membership card on the same check) receive a 20% discount on their bill.   The gratuity is automatically added to the discounted dining for members using the discount (18% at most locations, however Victoria & Albert's adds a 20% gratuity to the check.)  There are blackout dates as well for the discount on major holidays (such as Mother's Day, Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.)

To purchase a Tables in Wonderland membership, visit Guest Relations at any of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks, or Downtown Disney location.  If you are a DVC member, you will need to show your DVC membership card.  Annual Passholders or FL Residents will need to show proof of eligibility.

A Tables in Wonderland membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase.  An additional household member may purchase a card for an additional $50.

Thanksgiving at the Disneyland Resort

Who is ready for the holiday season to arrive?  Thanksgiving brings to me thoughts of the upcoming Christmas holiday season to mind for me.  The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, great food, spending quality time with family, and getting ready to decorate the Christmas tree!!

Have you ever spent the Thanksgiving holiday at the DIsneyland Resort?  Disneyland offers some wonderful Thanksgiving dining options for you, with many choices (and best of all--no dishes to wash!!)

Looking for dining options that are outside of the theme parks for the day?  How about a HUGE buffet over at the Disneyland Hotel?!  The Disneyland Hotel for Thanksgiving will offer a large buffet, which will feature Roast Turkey, Prime Rib, Stuffing, Sweet Potato Souffle, Cranberry-Orange Relish, Mashed Potatoes (and gravy!) and much more.  There will be salads, cheeses, shrimp, crab legs, charcuterie, smoked salmon, and amazing desserts galore such as pumpkin pie, pecan pie, cookies, cakes, macaroon pops, gourmet cupcakes, crepes flambees, chocolate fountain with dippers, and more!
Thanksgiving Galore at the Disneyland Resort
For the children who prefer "kid friendly" favorites, there will be items such as pizza, mac & cheese, chicken tenders, corn, mini hotdogs and more. The cost is $71.99 for adults (age 10+) and $20.99 for children (age 3-9.)
Thanksgiving Galore at the Disneyland Resort
Also located at the Disneyland Hotel, Steakhouse 55 will be offering a three course dinner for $46.  The courses will include roasted butternut squash soup with crème fraîche, slow-roasted turkey with roasted garlic mashed potatoes, green beans with bacon, dressing and Grand Marnier cranberry sauce, and pumpkin crème brûlée for dessert.  I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!
Over at Goofy's Kitchen there will be a brunch available (pricing will be $33.99 for adults age 10+ and $17.99 for children--ages 3-9.)  Brunch will offer many things from which to choose, including made-to-order omelets, eggs Benedict, roasted ham, and huevos rancheros just to name a few.  Prefer to have dinner?  Dinner, which is pricing at 38.99 for adults, age 10+ and $17.99 for children--age 3-9, will have Thanksgiving dinner offerings which will include turkey, roasted New York strip, salmon with caper-butter sauce, mashed potatoes, brown sugar yams with marshmallows, sourdough stuffing, butternut squash soup and more.
Still hungry?  Over at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel, the PCH Grill will offer a Thanksgiving dinner consisting of oven-roasted turkey breast with cranberry-orange relish, New York strip steak with horseradish cream, grilled chicken, pan-seared salmon, apple-walnut stuffing, mashed potatoes and turkey giblet gravy, and salads and desserts. The cost for this location will be $31.99 for adults (age 10+) and $16.99 children (ages 3-9).
Heading over to Napa Rose (located at the Grand Californian Hotel), they will offer a four-course Wine Country Feast, pricing at $90 per adult, with an optional wine flight add-on for an additional $45.  They will have a children's offering of a turkey dinner, pricing at $20.
Also at the Grand Californian Hotel, Storytellers Cafe will be offering a classic turkey dinner, with a brioche bread stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes (with gravy), and even cranberry sauce!  (pricing is $22.99 for adults and $11.99 for children.)  Would you prefer a buffet?  They will also be offering a Thanksgiving Buffet, which will include turkey, New York strip loin, pan-seared salmon,  cranberry sauce, grilled chicken, pork loin, candied yams, stuffing with sweet Italian sausage, mashed potatoes, gravy, golden beets and more. The buffet will also have plenty of pies and other desserts as well.  The pricing for the buffet will be $30.99 for adults and $14.99 for children.
Not enough choices for you yet?  The theme parks will also be offering Thanksgiving dining options as well.  Over at Disney's California Adventure, you will be able to get a Thanksgiving turkey dinner at Ariel's Grotto, Flo's V8 Cafe, Wine Country Trattoria and the Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill (yes--Thanksgiving dinner at a Mexican Grill!!!)  Carthay Circle Restaurant will be offering a three-course Thanksgiving dinner as well.

Disneyland Candlelight Ceremony Performances for 2012 increased

If you have not experienced the Candlelight Ceremony and Processional at Disneyland, this is a wonderful event to see and experience.  This year it will be even better because it is being expanded to 20 nights of performances!

The Candlelight Ceremony and Processional has been a Disneyland Resort tradition since 1958, bringing holiday magic to Main Street, USA, with the help of celebrities.

The Candlelight Ceremony and Processional is a beautiful evening performance of holiday music and the telling of the first Christmas Story in Town Square on Main Street, USA. The first performance was in 1958 and has continued every year since. These classic performances touched off another tradition at the Walt Disney World Resort – the popular Candlelight Processional at Epcot (another DO NOT MISS event during the holiday season at Walt Disney World.)

This holiday season – for the first time in its history at the Disneyland park – the Candlelight Ceremony and Processional is being extended to a total of 20 nights, with two performances each night. The first two nights, December 1-2, will be invitation-only events; however, performances from December 3-20 will be open to Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders and guests booking special (to-be-announced) dining packages for the 2012 holiday season.

These are all the details we have at this time, but we will update with more information on the 2012 Candlelight Ceremony and Processional at Disneyland park as they become available.
