Disney Cruise Line to include gratuities automatically
Disney Cruise Line is implementing a new process for gratuities onboard their ships. They will be automatically charging guest accounts on embarkation day with the suggested gratuity amounts for the Server, Assistant Server, Head Server and Stateroom Host/Hostess.
Guests will still have the ability to modify or add additional gratuity amounts, or pay in cash by stopping by guest services onboard the ship.
Guests may still add pre-paid gratuities at the time of booking, or when making final payment to a cruise. If the pre-paid gratuities have not been added prior to boarding, guests will receive a letter explaining the automatic charge to their onboard account.
Effective dates for this new policy are as follows:
Disney Magic: immediately
Disney Fantasy: April 21, 2012
Disney Wonder: April 22, 2012
Disney Dream: Date to be announced

Dinner with Ariel coming to Disney's California Adventure
With the addition of this new dining experience, "World of Color" dining packages will no longer be offered at Ariel's Grotto for dining after June 14, 2012.

Disney Cruise Line to end Palo High Tea
Have you ever tried to book a Palo brunch reservation aboard one of the Disney Cruise Ships? It can be incredibly difficult to book if not done far in advance. Due to the popularity of the Palo Brunch and in order to accommodate more guests, Disney Cruise Line will be implementing extended brunch hours.
As a result of the extended brunch dining times, Palo High Tea will no longer be offered as a dining option. This will become effective with the 8/13/12 sailings of the Disney Wonder and Fantasy, and on 7/22/12 for the Disney Dream, and on 8/10/12 for the Disney Magic.
Remember, booking these experiences when your booking window opens up is very important to make sure you get the time and day you prefer. Disneyland Dining now to offer email reservation requests
Starting today Disneyland is offering a new way to make dining reservations. You can still make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance via the DINE line, but now you can also opt to request your dining reservations via email. (You can also request Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Studio Disney 365 reservations with this new system as well.) *At this time the upcoming Carthay Circle Restaurant (scheduled to open June 15th) at Disney's California Adventure park is NOT yet taking reservations*
Dining reservation requests can now be emailed to dine@disneyland.com. The request needs to have the following information in order to be processed:
Requests received between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. will be processed the same day, and those received after hours will be processed the next day.
Remember--your DreamFinder Dream Maker will take care of making all of your dining reservations for you! Just be sure to partner with your agent to let them know your preferences and your DreamMaker will do the rest!!

New hold policy for Disney Cruise Line
There is a brand new policy in effect for holding cabins without deposit on Disney Cruise Line, effective immediately.
You used to be able to hold a suite/concierge cabin for 3 days and non-suite/non-concierge cabins for 5 days (there were exceptions to this, but this was the general policy.)
Effective today, suites/concierge cabins will only be held for ONE day, and non-suite/non-concierge cabins will only be held for 3 days.
Please be sure to keep this in mind when you are thinking of booking a cruise. You will have to now decide in a shorter time frame if you want the cabin on hold or not. Make sure you contact your agent in a timely manner now when submitting your deposits on cabins.
