Disneyland Candlelight Ceremony Performances for 2012 increased

If you have not experienced the Candlelight Ceremony and Processional at Disneyland, this is a wonderful event to see and experience.  This year it will be even better because it is being expanded to 20 nights of performances!

The Candlelight Ceremony and Processional has been a Disneyland Resort tradition since 1958, bringing holiday magic to Main Street, USA, with the help of celebrities.

The Candlelight Ceremony and Processional is a beautiful evening performance of holiday music and the telling of the first Christmas Story in Town Square on Main Street, USA. The first performance was in 1958 and has continued every year since. These classic performances touched off another tradition at the Walt Disney World Resort – the popular Candlelight Processional at Epcot (another DO NOT MISS event during the holiday season at Walt Disney World.)

This holiday season – for the first time in its history at the Disneyland park – the Candlelight Ceremony and Processional is being extended to a total of 20 nights, with two performances each night. The first two nights, December 1-2, will be invitation-only events; however, performances from December 3-20 will be open to Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders and guests booking special (to-be-announced) dining packages for the 2012 holiday season.

These are all the details we have at this time, but we will update with more information on the 2012 Candlelight Ceremony and Processional at Disneyland park as they become available.

Military Appreciation Offer Extended

In support of our military and their families, Disney has once again extended the great military appreciation discount offer. 

From August 17, 2012 through September 25, 2013, active duty and retired US military personnel (this includes active and retired members of the US Coast Guard and Reservists) or their spouses can purchase discounted park tickets to both Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort.  In addition, Disney is continuing the room discount of up to 40% on rooms at select Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort Hotels for stays through September 28, 2013 (certain blockout dates may apply.)

Theme park tickets can be used for admission between October 1, 2012 and September 28, 2013.*

Promotional military ticket pricing is as follows:
   Walt Disney World:

• 4 Day with Park Hopper $156 each plus tax
• 4 Day with Water Parks Fun & More $156 each plus tax
  4 Day Park Hopper & Water Parks Fun & More $184 each plus tax

   Disneyland:

• 3 Day Park Hopper $125 each plus tax

Disney Military Promotional Tickets can be purchased by active duty and retired US Military Personnel for themselves and up to 5 additional family members or friends.  Military ID is required and certain restrictions may apply.

*Walt Disney World tickets exclude December 24 - 31, 2012; March 24 - April 4, 2013; and for the Magic Kingdom Park July 4, 2013 is excluded.
 
*Disneyland tickets exclude December 23, 2012 - January 2, 2013; February 15 - 17, 2013; March 25 - April 5, 2013; and July 4, 2013.
