Disneyland to add "Extra Magic Hour" for Resort Hotel Guests

The Disneyland Resort is adding the "Extra Magic Hour" feature beginning on June 18, 2012.  Guests staying at one of the on-site Disneyland Resort Hotels (Disneyland Hotel, Disney's Grand Californian, or Paradise Pier) will be able to take advantage of "Extra Magic Hour". which is an early entry into either the Disneyland Park or Disney's California Adventure Park.  These extra magic hours will be available every day (Disneyland Park is scheduled to be on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and Disney's California Adventure Park is scheduled to be on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.)

Carthay Circle Restaurant now taking reservations

Reservations for the Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney California Adventure Park are now available to be booked. The restaurant will open with Buena Vista Street and Cars Land on June 15th.

This signature dining location will be housed on the second floor of the Carthay Circle Theatre, a re-creation of one of the great California movie palaces. This new park icon anchors Buena Vista Street and is a historic landmark with an important place in Disney history--it is where Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered in 1937.

Paying tribute to Hollywood’s Golden Age, the theatre’s interior celebrates the legacy of Disney family entertainment, with emphasis on Walt and the first Disney animators. But in this theatre, the food is the star. Signature dishes created with freshness, excitement and integrity will highlight the locally sourced fresh produce, seafood and meats found throughout the region.

The Carthay Circle Restaurant also will offer an extensive signature-level wine program, highlighted by California and new-world wines. In the ground-level Carthay Circle Lounge, Guests will discover creative tapas along with unique California craft beers, as well as cocktails designed to be relevant to the era and handcrafted by expert bartenders employing the art of mixology.

Purchase of an appetizer and an entrée, or an entrée and a dessert (at either lunch or dinner) will include a ticket to access the center-stage viewing area for the “World of Color.”   (This option joins  other options for the viewing area, such as the World of Color prix fixe dinner at Wine Country Trattoria, World of Color picnic meals from Sonoma Terrace at Golden Vine Winery, or the Disney Fastpass tickets distributed near Grizzly River Run.

Reservations can be made by contacting your DreamFinder agent, or by calling the Disney Dine Line at 714-781-DINE (714-781-3463) or emailing a request to dine@disneyland.com.
